How to interpret your Frontier result
Label the exact Frontier access type and compare Ethernet with Wi-Fi on the same device. Frontier's app can test to the router, while a browser test captures the device path and route to its selected endpoint.
Fiber and legacy copper service should be interpreted separately.
Frontier's router test and a device speed test have different boundaries.
Wi-Fi distance, interference, and device limits can dominate a room-level result.

- Why can this result differ from Frontier's own speed test?
- Frontier documents a router test in the MyFrontier app and a separate speed-to-device web test. SwiftSpeedTest is another independent device-to-endpoint view with loaded-latency and history tools.
- How should Frontier's router and device tests be used together?
- A router-level test can help describe speed reaching provider equipment, while an independent browser result includes the device and in-home path. A large repeatable gap between those scopes is evidence to inspect Wi-Fi or client hardware.
- Can one Frontier result prove an outage or throttling?
- No. One browser run cannot establish outage status, throttling, service compliance, or the exact fault domain. Compare repeated same-condition tests, provider equipment diagnostics, status information, and support evidence before attributing a cause.
